1. Who provides Hola
Hola is provided by Sergio Gaytan. This policy covers the app and its informational website. For privacy questions, contact support@holaorb.com. For safety concerns, contact safety@holaorb.com.
Contact about privacy ↗2. Information associated with your use
Account and profile
Your account may include an email address, account identifier, username, display name, profile image and description. When you choose Apple or Google sign-in, authentication information is exchanged with the selected provider. The information returned depends on your choices and that provider.
Messages and shared content
Hola handles the content you send or publish, including messages, photos, videos, voice messages, documents, posts, reels and comments, along with related identifiers and delivery or interaction information. A location message includes the coordinates and location details you choose to share.
Interactions and requests
Following relationships, likes, reactions, comments, blocks and reports support the corresponding features. When you contact us, the email address, message and attachments you provide are used to address your request.
Technical information
Network requests to the website or app services can expose technical information such as IP addresses, request times and client information to the infrastructure serving those requests.
3. How features use information
The information supports account access, profiles, message delivery, media storage, social interactions, notifications, optional translation, support and handling reports. Content is shared with its intended recipients or audience according to the feature and privacy settings in use. Other people can save or share content they receive.
When you accept the Terms of Use in the app, Hola records your account identifier, the accepted document version and the acceptance date.
4. Optional translation with OpenAI
Hola uses OpenAI for message translation. Text submitted for translation must be processed by that service, including any personal information written in that text. The Translate Messages setting controls automatic translation. Translations may contain errors.
Translation requires processing outside your device. Turning automatic translation off stops future automatic translation requests; it does not itself erase information already processed by the provider. Avoid translating information you do not want sent to that service.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Hola uses services including Supabase for app backend services, Apple and Google for the sign-in methods you choose, OpenAI for translation, GIPHY for GIF search and delivery, Namecheap for the website and support email, and transactional email delivery services for account messages. Their involvement depends on the feature used.
Posts and reels submitted for publication are processed by automated AI moderation to help detect prohibited content. Moderation decisions and user reports support content review and enforcement of our community standards.
6. Retention and deletion
Use Settings → Delete Account to begin deletion in Hola, or contact support if you cannot access the account. Deleting the app or clearing local cache does not delete the server account. Content saved independently by recipients may remain outside your account.
For questions about deletion completion, retained records, backups or information processed by a service provider, contact support@holaorb.com and identify the account and information concerned. Do not send your password or verification codes.
Account and deletion options ↗7. Permissions and security
You can manage relevant app permissions in iPhone Settings and use Hola’s privacy, block and report controls. Security measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute protection. Encryption of chat text should not be interpreted as a claim that all media, metadata, reports or text sent for translation is end-to-end encrypted.
8. This website
This website stores your selected language and background-motion preference in your browser’s local storage. Its code includes no analytics, advertising pixels, external fonts or contact-form database. Email links open your email application. The hosting and email services may handle technical records or correspondence separately.
9. Choices, rights and age eligibility
Contact support@holaorb.com about access, correction or deletion of your information. Identity verification may be needed. Rights and available remedies vary by jurisdiction. Review the account and privacy choices page for the controls available in Hola.
Hola Orb is intended for people aged 13 or older, subject to any higher minimum age required for this service where they live. It is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child who does not meet the applicable minimum age has created an account or provided personal information, contact support@holaorb.com so we can investigate the account and address the request.
10. Changes and contact
Updates to this policy are published on this page with a revised update date. Contact support@holaorb.com with questions about this policy or the app’s data practices.
